I'm Jay: marketer, analyst, and most importantly, storyteller.
I’ve journaled every day for the past 11 years. Not a single day skipped.
At the top of each entry is a quote from How Do You Live? by Yoshino Genzaburo: “The things that you feel most deeply, from the very bottom of your heart, will never deceive you in the slightest. And so at all times, in all things, whatever feelings you may have, consider these carefully.”

This quote always reminds me that emotional and creative honesty is where meaning begins.
When you’re in the theatre, facing the stage or screen, vulnerability is the price of entry. As the story unfolds, so does something within you: your sense of self, your understanding of goodness, your relationship to the world. You don’t just consume the story; you engage with it. Reflect on it. Change with it.
That kind of experience isn’t about external results. It’s about the inward movement of meaning. You return to it not because you’re chasing success, but because it draws you back into what feels most alive, most true. That’s why I fell in love with storytelling. The kind that helps people escape the noise, reconnect with themselves, and grow.

That belief has shaped everything I do:
– As a theatre producer, I use data and brand storytelling to deepen audience connection and create work that truly resonates. That season went on to be the most attended in the company’s 81-year history--not because we chased numbers, but because we stayed rooted in truth.
– At Electronic Arts, I translate player stories and community behavior into insights that help teams make moderation practice focus on quality and user satisfaction, beyond time and efficiency
– In my HCI research, I explore how technology can serve human needs beyond convenience, connecting with our desire in emotion and ethics

Now, I’m building my career at the intersection of brand strategy and consumer insights. I want to craft moments that move people and help bring to life stories that build worlds and offer meaning. I'm especially drawn to media, entertainment, and mission-driven brands that have the power to make people feel.
